A night-sky penthouse with panoramic city views — dark moody palettes, gold accents, and a designer kitchen that anchors the open-plan living.

The Skyline Penthouse was conceived as a jewel box suspended above the city. Where most Dubai residences chase white-on-white minimalism, we proposed the opposite: a rich, enveloping palette of charcoal, deep navy, and burnished gold that transforms the apartment into a dramatic stage for nighttime living. The kitchen island — a seven-metre monolith clad in book-matched Sahara Noir marble — serves as both the functional and visual anchor of the entire floor plan.

Every material was selected not just for its visual quality, but for its tactile character and how it ages over time.
- Sahara Noir marble — kitchen island (book-matched)
- Brushed gold stainless steel — kitchen fixtures and trim
- Midnight velvet — primary lounge seating
- Smoked eucalyptus veneer — wall panelling
- Blackened steel mesh — wine room partition

The design began with a full-day workshop in the unfinished penthouse, experiencing the 360-degree views at different times of day. The nighttime view proved most compelling, which led to the dark interior palette that enhances the city lights beyond. All marble was selected in person at the quarry in Tunisia, with each slab photographed and digitally mapped before cutting.
