A Mediterranean masterpiece merging indoor and outdoor living — natural stone, open-air terraces, and a seamless connection to the sea.

Perched above the Tyrrhenian Sea, Meridian Villa is a celebration of the boundary between architecture and landscape. The brief demanded a home that felt as though it had always belonged to this clifftop — ancient in spirit, contemporary in execution. We carved open-air corridors through the building mass, allowing sea breezes and dappled sunlight to animate every room. Local pietra serena stone anchors the structure to its geological context, while floor-to-ceiling pivot doors dissolve the threshold between terrace and salon.

Every material was selected not just for its visual quality, but for its tactile character and how it ages over time.
- Pietra Serena sandstone — exterior cladding and terraces
- Reclaimed terracotta — interior flooring
- Corten steel — pergola structure and planters
- Hand-blown Murano glass — pendant lighting
- Travertine — bathroom surfaces and pool surround

The design evolved through extensive site studies, capturing the path of sunlight across each season. A full-scale mock-up of the main living pavilion was erected on-site to calibrate ceiling heights and window proportions against the horizon line. The construction partnered with local artisans for stone carving and metalwork, ensuring every detail carried the patina of craft.
